Long Awaited

My very good friend, O'Nealya, has started a new website. I was very impressed and knew that I was very, very bad for not posting on my blog. First of all, kudos goes out to her, she is very talented. Her website is www.storyofhopeministries.com, check it out.

Next, I am sorry for not doing this sooner, but a lot has changed in my life. We are expecting our sixth child in a few short weeks. We thought we were done and God had other ideas. It is a girl, so Kennedy is thrilled.

My writing has had a setback, but I am close to get back to where I was. The setback, well a little funny story behind that. I was down in our toy room/bedroom working away when Knox was jumping on the bed and landed on the thumb drive and yep, CRACK. It broke and I lost three months of work. I was able to get my original writing, not the new work. Oh well, maybe it will turn out better. And I am saving in numerous places. Plus, I am having someone trying to edit it for me. Fingers-crossed.

I hope to do better on this. O'Nealya will make sure of that...

Update

I wanted to give everyone a heads up on my writing. I had a little setback, even though some of my friends consider it a pretty major one, either way it will delay the finish of my book.

I will need to go in and start checking the flow of my story to see if it is consistent with what I am trying to portray. Lord knows it needs it. But who knows it may bring a different outcome. I have never edited anything so this may just be a little above me.

So, I am not going to set a self-imposed deadline. I will finish, when I finish. So, stay tuned.

Welcome one and all to the patch!

Well I finally did it. I crossed to the proverbial dark side. My best friend suggested that if I was going to get a following for my soon to be completed book, that I need to start a blog and have people follow me. Since she has some roots in the whole publishing/editing realm, I quickly obliged. So here it is...

I am currently writing my first novel entitled, "An Irresistible Force." I have given myself a self-imposed deadline of October 20th to have this thing finished. So I am under the gun. But I am having a ball writing it.

I am new to this whole world and just taking it one day at a time ( no I will not bust out in song for you, your ears will thank you). I am preparing what I need to prepare to get an agent, when I am ready but the book must come first and then the whole editing, rewrite, blah, blah. Can't wait.

So get on board and enjoy the ride with me...
